EBOOK
Ebook e-book Therapeutic Exercise 5th Edition
Highlights of each of the sections are as follows:
• Part I, General Concepts.
• Part II, Applied Science of Exercise and Techniques, covers the basic concepts and principles of
therapeutic exercise and foundational techniques.
• Part III, Principles of Intervention, was one chapter in previous editions, but to accommodate expanding
science and evidence, we divided the content and developed three new chapters.
• The chapters in Part IV, Exercise Interventions by
Body Region, have been extensively revised, updated, and expanded. In each of these chapters we feature a table that links physical therapist preferred practice patterns to each of the pathologies and surgeries presented. In addition, the chapters on posture and spinal impairments have been placed before the extremity chapters to emphasize the importance of posture on movement and control of the extremities.
• Lastly, Part V, Special Areas of Therapeutic Exercise, contains chapters that expand on areas of practice utilizing therapeutic exercise as a significant component of management, yet have distinct concerns that need to be emphasized.
